Customise the Moodle text editor (in Moodle 2.4)

Since the advent of Moodle 2.0, we have had the pleasure of the many features of the TinyMCE editor which does much more than the old, 1.9 text/HTML editor. However, you can’t please everyone and several people have been concerned that with its three lines it is perhaps too complex or offers too many unneccessary buttons for newbies. Additionally, some people have spotted that useful buttons such as the horizontal rule and the anchor button have gone. Not a problem anymore – at least, not when Moodle 2.4  comes out as an early Christmas present for us. Administrators can configure the editor so that it shows just the buttons they feel most useful for their users. Here is a short screencast to give you an idea of how it will work.
